Update
Hey guys!
I know it's been a while and that's my own fault. Anyway, here's what's up with me. I was working night shifts at a grocery store for a year and I was getting tired of waiting for things to pick up pace so originally I was planning on making a move from Kelowna by September this year. I was in the middle of planning it when I got an Email from Yeti Farm Creative, an animation studio, inviting me to come in for an interview.
Being as I'd been rejected a handful of times I wasn't holding out much hope for being hired but I figured I'd regret it if I didn't give it a shot. I went in and spoke to a couple of amazing people but it turns out it was my 'thanks for meeting with me' email that sealed the deal. They gave me 2 weeks before I started which was just enough time for me to quit my job and now I've been working in an actual studio for 5 weeks. It's been a lot of fun and a whole lot of learning as it had been a while since I've animated but it's all come back and I've learned things about Harmony and the show that I hadn't been aware of before. Safe to say I'm not moving any time soon.
So there's that. On a side note, strangely I've been drawing a lot more than I had previously. Might be the daylight that I now get to enjoy or it may be the fact that I am now surrounded by creative people. I'll be uploading some of my drawings in my next post.
Thanks for reading all of that!
